Baptism Preparation

We ask that the parents and godparents attend the parish pre-baptismal preparation.  The classes are taught the third Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the chapel.

Prayer Group

We have a couple of prayer groups in our parish.  One prayer group gathers in the chapel of the church on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.  The other prayer group gathers after the 9 a.m. Mass every Thursday in the chapel of the Church.  Everyone is welcome to attend and spend some time singing, meditating and above all, praying.

The lectors help in the Mass by proclaiming the Word of God.  Is a very important ministry within the Church.  If you are interested in participating in this important ministry, please call Father Raúl Lemus at (707) 795-4807.

Extra-Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist

The ordinary ministry of the Eucharist is always an ordained minister: an instituted acolyte, a deacon, a priest or the bishop. Whenever there is a great need to help the priest to distribute the Holy Eucharist, the priest can call upon the laity and prepare them to help in this very important ministry.  If you are interested in helping the parish by being an extra-ordinary minister of the Eucharist, please call Father Raúl Lemus (707) 795-4807.

We have in our parish of St. Joseph wonderful and talented musicians and singers who enhanced the liturgy with the hymns and singing.  We have various choirs that participate in various Masses and are always looking for members to join.  If you are interested, please call the parish choir director Matt Arnerich at (707) 494-5809.

The main function of the acolytes is to assist the priests and deacons in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  We are always in need of acolytes.  If you are at least seven years of age, have made your First Communion and are interested in helping in this very important ministry, please call the parish office at (707) 795-4807 and leave us your name and telephone so that the coordinator may give you a call an prepare you to serve at the next possible Mass.

Ministry to the Homebound

In our parish of Saint Joseph, we have various parishioners who are prepared to take communion to those who, because of physical impediment are not able to go to church and participate in the Mass.  If you know of someone who physically is not able to attend Mass, please call Father Raúl Lemus at (707) 795-4807 so he can visit the person and assign someone to take the Holy Eucharist at least once a week.
