Baptisms in English are scheduled for the first and third Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. in the church.  Before making any arrangements, the parents and godparents need to take the Pre-Baptismal Class.  Please call the parish office for the baptismal class schedule.  Then go the parish office to register their children.  At the moment of the registration, we ask that you bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate so that all the necessary information can be correctly entered into the baptismal register.

The Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church states that the godparents/sponsors must be at least 16 years old, and have been baptized in the Catholic Church, Confirmed in the Catholic Church and made their First Communion in the Catholic Church.  They should also be practicing Catholics who attend Mass every Sunday and receive Holy Communion regularly.  A minimum of one godparent is required.  The maximum that there can be is two.  If there are two godparents one has to be a female and the other must be a male.  They can be single or married.  However, if they are married, it must be a Catholic Marriage, not just a civil marriage.  If they live with someone outside of marriage, they cannot serve as godparents.
